"Did you still have feelings for him?" Harry's voice had broken, Victoria thought.
"What?" she asked as she watched the pained expression on his face.
"Edmund, you did not reply to his question. Did you still have feelings for him?" he asked again.
Victoria, not knowing where to start, stared at the look of pain in Harry's eyes. "It's not what you think, Harry. He is drunk; why are you listening to the nonsense he was saying?"
"But I am asking you, Victoria. Why are you avoiding the question?" he had said quietly, his voice filled with pain.
"Harry, it is not what you think." Victoria had walked to the corner where he had stood watching. She had held his hands to reassure him, but it seemed that was not enough for Harry, as he had shaken his head in confusion.
