‘Shit!’ The man in the lead rushed forward and took wild shots into the dark. Kira’s scream pierced the still night and reached Austyn’s ears. ‘Stop!’ Austyn raised a hand. He listened intently. His heart almost stopped when he heard multiple gunshots. ‘This way!’ he started running. Kai and the bodyguards followed close on his heels.
