A message from Jenny appeared on Oliver’s phone screen:
**[Oliver, I’ve finished the coffee you gave me. Do you have any more?]**
Another message popped up immediately, specifying the coffee type.
Alison’s eyes caught the text, and she bit her lip unconsciously, her expression growing darker. She looked down at the coffee cup in her hand.
So, this coffee was Jenny’s favorite.
Oliver always kept Jenny’s preferences in mind. No wonder their relationship was strong enough to overcome anything—it was as if they were blessed by fate.
Alison’s lips twisted into a mocking smile, directed at herself. She ridiculed her own inability to recognize her place and for longing for things that were never hers.
It made sense—how could Oliver ever like her? Why would someone who didn’t care about her ever bother with her preferences?
She remembered how Oliver always knew what Arelike and Jenny liked and disliked but couldn’t recall that Natalia was allergic to eggs.
