Chapter 118 An old enemy
Mariama stood in front of the dilapidated building, her heart pounding. The neon sign above the entrance flickered weakly, casting an eerie glow on the rain-slicked street. "The Lucky Leopard," she muttered, reading the sign. "How fitting."
She took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come. The flash drive in her pocket felt like it weighed a ton. With trembling fingers, she pushed open the door and stepped inside.
The smoky interior of the bar assaulted her senses. Rough-looking men hunched over their drinks, eyeing her suspiciously as she made her way to the bartender.
"I'm looking for Oscar," Mariama said, her voice barely above a whisper.
The bartender, a burly man with a scar across his cheek, narrowed his eyes. "Who's asking?"
