Chapter 48

Nicole arched an eyebrow, inwardly lamenting that it sure was nice to be rich. She didn't turn down Stacy's offer and simply strode into the archives room, looking for Monica's physical examination report from when she had been adopted. As long as she saw the name of the orphanage, she would be able to determine whether it was related to Trevor, the director who had molested her. However, she didn't find any report related to Monica in the archives. She stood in front of the shelves, her eyebrows gradually knitting together. It was impossible for the hospital to make such a mistake. How could the report be missing? Had someone taken it away in advance? Aaron looked over at her when she walked out of the archives empty-handed. "Did you not find what you were looking for?" She nodded. "Are you doubting Monica's identity?" he asked again. As soon as he asked, her eyes flickered subtly and she cleverly changed the topic. "It's alright. I just came to take a look out of curiosity.
