"Aren't you bored, sitting here alone? You can get a girl to dance with you or talk to Gucci's and Louis Vuitton's managers. If you just sit here, Grace is going to worry." As Jayden spoke, he gestured for me to look to my left.
Grace was talking to a few of the participants, occasionally throwing a glance in my direction. I wanted to smile at her.
Jayden said exaggeratedly, "Oh, I think it's best if you didn't smile, Mr. Wright. You have no idea how pale you look. I almost think you're going to pass out right here at my gathering."
He even got a mirror from one of the waitresses around him. They had one on them at all times, so he didn't even need to look for one.
He held the mirror up to my face. I could see how ghostly pale I was. I was even paler than sunlight. I looked like I had seen the scariest horror movie made in all of history.
