The doctor's advice could be boiled down to one word—endurance.
Since I couldn't wear bulletproof protection on my left calf, it was hit by a bullet. Thankfully, it was just skin and muscle damage. The bullet had neither fractured or struck the calf bone but instead became entrenched in the muscle.
The surgery had gone smoothly. The doctor stated I'd be able to walk normally after a month of rest, but full recovery would require three to six months of rigorous therapy.
"Alright, thank you, Doctor."
After hearing the doctor's extensive list of precautions, the nurse gave me some water. I instantly felt better with some water in me.
The doctor nodded slightly and left the room with the nurse to give us some privacy.
Before leaving, he reminded everyone, "The patient needs a quiet environment to rest. It's best if you finish talking within ten minutes and keep the room from becoming overcrowded."
