In the end, I didn't leave early either.
After Emelia apologized, the door suddenly swung open. Stanley froze, unsure of what was going on inside the room.
He smiled gently and asked, "Emilia, why are you standing at the door? By the way, the other three have arrived. When are you starting?"
Dennis straightened up. "Now, I suppose."
Stanley nodded, stepping aside to let the others in while heading to take a seat himself. He chose a spot which coincidentally was near to the main seat.
Everyone in the room held equal status, so no one opted for the main seat. However, Stanley sat there without hesitation.
Emilia's eyes narrowed as she pursed her lips.
"What's wrong, Emilia? Quickly take a seat." Stanley looked at Emilia, confused.
She hesitated before saying, "Stan, maybe you should leave for now? We'll finish up the meeting first, and…"
