Stacy strutted toward me.
"No need to thank me. I can't stand Cindy and her two-faced ways; she doesn't deserve to be my good friend!"
I withdrew my hands and took two steps back.
"Thank you? I'd rather stay away from the both of you."

Stacy's smile froze, and her arrogance faded.
She looked deeply at the man in front of her, growing more and more alarmed the longer she stared.

He was even more captivating than Luca, whom she once admired.
Feeling Stacy's hungry gaze, I frowned in irritation.
"Mr. Becker, you can head back now. I'll return to campus and contact you if anything comes up."
I decided to keep my distance from these two crazy women to avoid any further embarrassment.
