I smiled as a greeting to Alfie and Natalie. After finishing breakfast downstairs, I finally felt like I was ready to start the day.
"The weather isn't great for going out today," I remarked, sipping my hot tea as I glanced at the heavy downpour.
Alfie nodded seriously and replied, "Yeah, it's hard to notice danger in this kind of rain. The downpour washes away a lot of scents."
I wasn't really worried about danger. I just didn't feel like going out in the rain. But I had already made plans with Sullivan yesterday.
"Mr. Wright, there's someone here for you!" Natalie hurried into the living room.
"A man named Dwane McNeil said he's an old classmate of yours. He called the house phone."
