“You should keep the ointment for yourself, Miss Jones.” Sophia’s face looked horrible. She pushed the ointment back into Leah’s hands.
Leah’s every word pierced into her heart, and she felt awful.
“Why don’t you want to use the ointment I’m giving you?”
Leah grabbed the ointment and said bitterly, “Is it because you love Charles and he loves me, so that’s why you’re jealous of me? We’ve been friends for ten years. Is it nothing compared to the one-sided love you have for Charles?”
“Leah, you’re so good at twisting the truth,” Sophia clenched her fist and said through gritted teeth.
The person who framed her was Leah. The person who was pretending to be pitiful was also Leah. How could someone be so shameless?
“I’m just telling the truth.” Leah sighed. She said softly, “Sophia, you didn’t have a scar on your head two years ago. You always dressed so nicely, but even then, Charles did not like you. Do you think he will now that you’re in this state?”
