AURORA. Lolita, Winter, and I were heading to my Abuela’s room when I suddenly realized that I had forgotten to retrieve the vitamins I had bought for her from the hospital’s drugstore. I turned to Lolita with an apologetic smile. “Lola, could you take Winter to Grandma's room? I forgot to get her vitamins. I'll catch up.” Lola smiled and nodded. “Sure thing. Don’t stay too long.” Sending her a thankful glance, I turned and walked away. **** NATHANIEL. Just as Thane was about to exit the room, he ran into Winter and a young woman he did not recognize. His unexpected presence sent ripples of curiosity through Thane. What was Winter doing here? Winter’s surprise was evident on his face. “Jesus, Nathaniel. What are you doing here? Seems like the big boss is pulling a surprise visit to his employee’s family members' ward.” The young woman gave them both a small smile before walking into the room and closing the door behind her, probably in a bid to give both men privacy.
