REBECCA. Shock was not enough to describe the emotions currently running through her. Never before had she been this shaken to her roots. Rebecca’s eyes remained on Aurora, Thane’s assistant, as she crossed the street and began walking down the pavement until she disappeared out of view. She’d heard rumors about her son’s new personal assistant, whose presence in Thane’s life seemed to bring out a new side to him. Even Thea had commented on how angry he’d gotten when her friend had insulted Aurora at his penthouse.
