When Katherine heard this, she immediately let out a sigh of relief. It was a good thing Curtis wasn't here; that put her mind at ease. If Curtis had been here, Katherine felt like she might lose it. "Why am I just thinking about other things? Oh, by the way, is Curtis coming back today? If he's not, I want to go out for a bit. There are a few things I need to do." There were some things Curtis definitely wouldn't tell her, but Katherine was sure he would inform the butler. So, instead of asking Curtis, she decided to ask the butler. The butler's smile remained unchanged, friendly yet somewhat mechanical. "Sir won't be back today. He has a lot to take care of, and he rarely comes back anyway. Just relax and stay here. Sir will handle everything else. If you have things to do, you can go out, but please don't wander around." The butler's gentle hint reassured Katherine that she didn't need to worry about anything while staying here; Curtis would take care of everything.
