CHAPTER HUNDRED BACKGROUND STUDY
JADE’S POV
I walk around the house, staring at the hundreds of portraits and pictures on the walls and tables with a smile. My mom loved taking pictures a lot, so she made sure that we took at least three whenever we attended any occasion, and we went for a thousand things in a day, so go figure. "Did your mother like taking pictures as well?" I ask, turning to face him as he watches an image of me at the amusement park around twelve years ago. "She did, but my father didn't, so we don't have so many of these," he replies, and I nod thoughtfully.
"You know, you haven't told me anything about your father. Is there anything interesting you'd like to share?" I question, and he drops the frame to stare at me. "There's not much to say about him since I never really knew what he was like, but the man loved to go fishing with my uncle, and sometimes he would bring me along," he responds, following after me as I head to my room. "That must've been nice," I quip, entering my unlocked room
