Indeed, it wasn’t the best day to visit Hutton’s place. Mary, who was currently staying at Bella’s home, wasn’t fond of crowded spaces.
“Alright, we can dine together another time,” conceded Hutton, his gaze softening as he looked at Bella. “But, I must say, I’m looking forward to your cooking again. Bella, would you mind cooking for me?”

Pleased, Hutton shot a triumphant glance at Kennedy, whose eyes narrowed in obvious displeasure.
Eager to prevent another public argument, Bella quickly redirected the attention. Noticing that Derik was still present, his
gaze filled with apparent jealousy towards Karl, she hurriedly said, “Derik, I thought you mentioned having matters to attend to. Why are you still here?”
At her remark, all eyes turned to Derik.
Clearing his throat awkwardly, Derik cast a final glance at Karl.
