Chapter 107 - A Night to Remember
Her breath froze in her throat the instant she passed the archway. The gardens of Valtheon were stunning even in the silence of the night. There was an ethereal allure to the place as the moon shone on the wide stretch of flowers, trees, and fountains.
The flowers were in full bloom, their hues just discernible in the light, and there were so many different kinds, some of which she had never seen before.
The marble walkways were softly lit in a golden hue by lanterns that hung from elaborately carved poles.
Sylara exclaimed in awe by the utter beauty of everything. She turned to face him,
“It's even more breathtaking than I imagined” she said,
"This place, it’s like a dream”
His face brightened at her astonishment, and he laughed,
“The royal gardeners say it’s beautiful in every season," he stated,
“But I think it’s even more magical at night”
