If that private chat isn’t enough to put me in a sour mood, well, what comes after only makes it worse for me.
Wherever we go, Marie’s presence lifts up a smile as they see her. They will praise her with nothing but her past achievements and thanking her for her philanthropy. When they found out Amy is her half-sister, they treated her well.
We have finally returned home after Amy has fallen asleep through the middle of our shopping and seeing that Marie has brought a lot, clothes, toys, shoes, bags and accessories. All of these things I couldn’t even afford for a year or so.
Returning back to the mansion has never been this awkward. We haven’t spoken at all as we are far apart from the backseat.
She stares at Amy as I (kindly) suck it up and let Amy sleep on her lap while I stare at the window, secretly admiring the view of the city lights that is a huge contrast to the human border I was so used to.
