CHAPTER 7 PREGNANCY AND DYING
CLAIRE
I fluttered my heavy eyelids lazily open as my gaze darted the room to the machines beeping at the corner of the room.
The sunlight escaped the window blinds, piercing right into my eyes and causing me to squint as I tried to sit up.
I was in a packed-packed hospital. I could tell. But what happened?
Willow was not in the room, and no one was, and I was beginning to fear it was all a dream. I was beginning to wonder if all that had happened in my life the past few days was only a terrible nightmare.
The door quietly went open. And Willow walked in with a bouquet of roses in her arms. There was relief on her face when she noticed me in a sitting position on the bed.
A soft smile tugged at her lips, but it never reached her eyes.
"Such a relief; you are alright." She cocked her head to the flowers in her arms and said, "I stepped out to get a few things for you."
She handed over the flowers and the meal she had brought over to me.
It was real. They were all real. The
