As the preparations continued, I couldn't help but feel the weight of Declan's presence. I knew that I would have to address the issue at the council meeting, but the thought of it made me sad and filled me with so many mixed emotions.
"I don't know if I can trust him again," I finally had the voice to confide in Luna, who had remained by my side throughout the ordeal and didn't take sides with her grandson over misbehaviors. "He betrayed us, and the wounds are still fresh."
Luna placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. "I understand you, I understand your hesitation, but we cannot afford to let personal grievances divide us. He has expressed a desire to make amends and prove his loyalty. Perhaps we should give him a chance for the sake of the pack." I sighed. “Knowing very well that you can't do it all alone by yourself.”
