CHAPTER 68 A CONFIRMATION

As I sat beside Declan, watching him sleep, I couldn't help but feel a sense of concern for his well-being. He has been having restless nights, and the weight of his past is slowly trying to taunt him; I really wanted to provide him with the comfort and all the support I know he deserved.
I gently stroked his cheek and rubbed his back a little, trying so hard to ease the shadows that haunted his dreams and gave him nightmares.
"Declan," I whispered softly. Please stand up; it's time to wake." He stirred, his eyes fluttering open to meet mine. For a moment, we just looked at each other; the tension and fatigue of the day were so visible on his face.
