CHAPTER 43 MY HERITAGE
Claire.
I was with Willow, watching the sky through the window as the sun slowly went behind the clouds. It was becoming dark, and evening was approaching, or rather, it had already arrived.
“It got so dark quickly today!” I commented as I shifted away from the window and turned to Willow to watch what was going on outside.
“I miss going out, and not just out like in the gardens, but out like to my flower office,” she said as she turned to face me with a sad smile. I felt so bad for pulling out of my messy life and destroying peace and serenity.
“I'm so sorry for everything; I shouldn't have come to you that day. I shouldn't have pulled you into this mess of a life and turned everything upside down for you and Irene. It wasn't my intention, and that's why I'm not so happy with all this. I'm so sorry, Will!” I pleaded with her as I tried to make it up to her with my words.
