CHAPTER 334 TELL ME MORE
“I won’t screw this up.”
Korbyn studied Adam carefully as he had just finished his response, barely keeping the sneer from curling his lips.
It hadn’t been that long since they’d known each other, but he knew when Adam was trying too hard, and that was what it looked like. He wasn’t convinced.
Adam was lying, and he could sense it from the subtle shifts of his posture to the way his eyes flickered when he spoke of not screwing things up.
But none of that was Korbyn’s problem, at least not yet, because for now, all he needed from Adam was the information he knew and, perhaps, a bit more of that intel.
The conversation turned to more routine matters, like the status of Alpha Hudson’s growing concerns with Claire’s health and the preparation for the Autumn Moonball in the pack.
He could relate to the latter more than ever because Dame Hortense, the leader of the Academy, was pushing them more than ever, especially when it came to sparring and dance lessons.
