CHAPTER 327 PACK AND FAMILIAL TIES

Kael was worried about his friend and his Alpha. There was a meeting scheduled that day, and he made it a point to be present, not because it was the normal thing to do, but because he thought he would preside over the meeting in the Alpha’s absence since he would be taking care of Claire. But when Alpha Hudson strode in, Kael blinked twice to be sure his eyes were not playing tricks on him because the logical thing for him was if it were Esme in that position, he wouldn’t leave her side. He couldn’t judge his friend because, unlike Kael, he was an Alpha, and the pack was in the middle of a conflict. After the meeting had ended, Kael stared at Alpha Hudson as he sat back in his chair, sighing multiple times. A look of weariness etched into his strong features was a stark contrast to the confidence he had just exuded in front of his council. Kael knew Alpha Hudson well enough to recognize when he was being pulled in too many directions at once. The pack’s affairs, the looming Autu
