CHAPTER 212 SAFE OR NOT

Hudson stood at the doorway of the room, fury and concern warring within him. When the guard that was positioned to Claire came to him, he thought the worst had happened. That Magnus sent someone to get Claire, or worse, kill her. To his relief, she was just trying to escape. Still, that did not help the situation either. He took in the scene, Claire struggling in the guard’s hold with eyes full of fear and defiance. He did not like that things had to get to this point, but if it meant keeping her safe, he would assert control over her, even if it meant being harsh. “Put her on the bed!” he commanded, his voice thunderous“Handcuff her to the railings.” The guard obeyed, pulling Claire along and dropping her on the mattress. She landed with a soft thud, still squirming and shouting for help. The guard was having trouble holding her in place and cuffing her hands to the bed railings.
