Declan moved first in the direction Claire had decided on. He followed down the path leading to the back of the building. His senses were on high alert in case they made the wrong choice. His wolf instincts kicked in should they encounter an attack. They neared what seemed to be an exit with two guards standing lazily, talking to one another. Anya readied herself and brought out the knife and taser she had removed from the sentinel she killed. Her weapons were resting in her hands with practiced precision, waiting for the right moment to strike. When it felt right, Anya lunged at the first guard, silencing him with a swift strike to the throat before he could make a sound.
