CHAPTER 194 BEYOND TERRITORIES

Kael and his men were still running swiftly through the dark forest of the deserted territory. The moonlight illuminated their path, and the birds of the trees were their ever-constant companions.  They were almost near the sign of the Nightshade clan territory; if they looked harder, it was in sight.  Kael slowed his pace and signaled for the others to do the same; Rowan, who had been running ahead, halted and returned to the other side. His breath was steady, but his eyes reflected concern and, more importantly, fear.   Kael changed back to his human form, and the others did the same. After they were settled, Rowan whispered low enough for only the other two to hear, “There’s movement up ahead.
