Nathan and Triston stood outside a locked room. Their eyes on the door and ears on the crowd they left behind. It took everything from them to gather all the Alphas present in Alpha conference and took over the Moon Lake Pack. And after a vigorous battle they had it under control, but even though they were on the winning side, their minds were troubled. They both were angry and sad at the same moment. Angry because Alpha Rambo was missing and sad because he might have taken their mate with them. The winning left a sour taste in their mouth and joyous moments tasted nothing but like ash without their mate. They entered the room with not so hidden fire in their eyes, their chests heaving with rage. The tension between them was palpable, and the air was thick with their alpha energy. Ryan sat tied to a chair in front of them, his head hung low. Nathan’s fury was palpable in his eyes. “We can’t wait any longer,” Nathan growled, pacing back and forth. “Where the hell is he? Where is Ella?”
