Juilet:
I suppressed a groan as I pricked myself again with the needle.
Suddenly I remembered why I always pretended to be sick when I was invited to these stupid sewing meetings.
My fingers always had more holes than the fabric had stitches.
But alas, these meetings were the only place to get all the juicy gossip. These old women had nothing better to do than talk about anything and everything, and it fit perfectly with the little investigation I'd going on.
"So Juilet, how is your grandma doing? Is she enjoying life in the human city?"
When I'd left the mountains with Gigi, I told everyone that we were going to visit my grandma who lived on the other side of the country in a small town. This wasn't a complete lie, because I was planning on visiting my grandma, only I wasn't coming back.
But of course, all my plans were thrown out the window when I found Reece. I let out a soft sigh and felt my heart pound at the thought of him. He was so perfect, and then there was me.
