MORGIANA'S POV It was something I wasn't expecting but with Laurent, I guess I should have seen it coming. "Something's fishy," said Nico who was sitting beside me and eating his ice cream. I don't even know where he got the ice cream when the cafeteria doesn't have it. "What is?" I asked as I was still looking at the entrance of the cafeteria to see if Arleigh would come back. "The two of them. I think something's happened," he answered and I looked at him. "Well, they just kissed in front of the whole school. That's what happened." "I mean something happened before this." He looked at me and narrowed his eyes as though he was about to say something else. "Something happened between you and Alaris too." Was it too obvious? Or is Nico just insanely observant? "What do you mean? Nothing happened between us. We're still...normal. And by the way, why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be on the border?" He shrugged. "Hawke is there with his witchlings. I was bored." He looked at me with
