"Willow, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to act irrationally," Ian apologized quietly as he released Willow.
"Ian, it's my fault. I'm not—"
"I'll take you home."
He cut her off, carefully wiped her feet, then helped her put on her shoes and socks before effortlessly carrying her into his arms.
She didn't want to be carried, and he noticed her reluctance. "Willow, your legs are not well today. Can you walk on your own if I don't carry you?"
Willow had to admit that it would be difficult for her to walk, and she'd still need to rely on him for support. Thus, physical touch was unavoidable. She ultimately decided to let him carry her.
A smile appeared on Ian's face when he noticed that she was no longer struggling. He walked toward the elevator and held her close.
