Chapter 1663
"I…"
Daniel found his father terrifying at the moment, as if he were about to punch him.
He didn't want to get beaten, but he also couldn't tolerate seeing Willow misunderstood by so many.
Willow was soaking wet, clearly because she had pulled Helen out of the pond. If she truly wanted to murder the latter, she wouldn't have gone through the trouble of saving her.
With that in mind, Daniel straightened his back and was ready to speak up for Willow. But before he could respond, her voice boomed forth.
"Uncle Jensen, I didn't push Aunt Helen into the water!" She paused for a moment, then continued with steady confidence, "I'm not trying to seek credit, but look at me right now. I'm soaked because I just came out of the pond. I was the one who saved Aunt Helen. If I truly wanted her dead, why would I jump in to save her?"
Caroline's heart ached when she saw Willow standing there soaking wet. Afraid that Jensen would hurt her precious daughter, she quickly pulled Willow behind her.
