When Sloane arrived at Wilder's graduation ceremony in a flowing gown, she immediately caught the attention of many university students.
She held a bouquet in her arms. Her hair was elegantly pinned up with a few loose strands swaying gently as she walked.
She looked soft, graceful, and intellectual.
The moment Wilder spotted her, he seemed momentarily lost and unsure of where to look. Lowering his gaze, he spoke in a quiet voice. "Sloane, you came."
Only the faint redness at the tips of his ears betrayed his emotions.
"Congratulations on graduating, Wilder."
Sloane handed him the bouquet and leaned in for a light hug.
Her subtle fragrance drifted into Wilder's senses.
Afraid she would notice the rapid pounding of his heart, Wilder quickly pulled away.
"Am I attending your graduation today as your senior?" Sloane asked as she tilted her head slightly, meeting Wilder's deliberately averted gaze.
Wilder froze and stared straight into Sloane's bright, soulful eyes.
