Danny felt a wave of relief wash over him when Sally didn't press him about the truthfulness of his words. After a moment of contemplation, he offered a sincere suggestion, “I have a recommendation for you. However, I must warn you, this new company is just starting up, so the salary and benefits might not be as competitive as those big corporations. But, you’ll gain a lot of experience and it will be very beneficial for your career. Take your time to think about it; there's no rush to give me an answer.” Sally's eyes lit up at the mention of a job opportunity. Without much hesitation, she asked, “What’s your connection to this company? You're not planning on working there too, are you?” Danny smiled slightly and explained, “Don't worry, I'm not going to work there, but I will be involved in managing the company. Just keep this information to yourself.” In reality, Danny had been considering this decision for a long time. He knew that to get the new company off the ground quickly, h
