Darlene put on a look as if she was ready to accept accusations, but no one accused her. Instead, it was the victim who received disapproving glances and criticism from others.
Even her own son and daughter were standing on Darlene's side.
"Dad, don't blame Darlene, she didn't mean it," Clara secretly glared at her own father, then wiped Darlene's tears with her arm, saying, "Darlene has always been very kind, there must be some misunderstanding."
Darlene was still crying, choking with sobs as she pushed Clara's hand away, her gaze looking very sincere.
"It's okay, Clara, Uncle is tired after so long and getting injured, it's normal to be angry. It's my fault for not leading the team well and making everyone suffer."
Scott frowned, disagreeing, "Dad, don't make things difficult for Darlene anymore. Let's just let this matter pass and hurry back."
