Chapter 17 A Moment of Growth
Around 8 PM, Ferren finally came home.
Faye had saved some dinner for him, and Ferren enjoyed the fried chicken wings with a drink. During dinner, Faye recounted the earlier events to him.
"He's changed so much in just a month. Even if he doesn't get into MIT, I believe he’ll turn out well," Faye said. In truth, the couple didn’t care much about Fox's future accomplishments.
MIT was never a big deal to them. They just wanted Fox to grow up safely and avoid the wrong path. Even if he didn’t achieve much, just living a decent life was great.
"Of course, he's my son. But I don’t like hearing you say that. I have full confidence in him; he’ll definitely get in," Ferren said, his face glowing with pride and confidence from the alcohol. He was incredibly proud of his son.
After finishing his meal, Ferren went to Fox's room and knocked. After hearing a response, he entered.
