Chapter 21 Audition

I shook off Brunel's hand impatiently, turning to him and saying, "I'm not here for you. I'm here for an audition, got it?" "I'm not interested in you, so don't worry about me falling for you." Brunel’s eyes still held suspicion. He probably thought I was a promiscuous woman after my behavior at the club that night, even thinking I might be interested in him. He had the looks and confidence that drew plenty of fans. But I wasn't one of them. Brunel seemed like he wanted to say something more, but Lucy appeared. "Aisha, it's your turn to audition. Come with me!" Lucy said. Her words made Brunel uncomfortable; he hadn’t expected I was there for an audition, not because I kissed him and was now chasing him.
