Chapter 116: A Dog-Like Temperament
I realized I couldn't continue this conversation; I suddenly felt sad and frustrated. I forcefully pulled away from Alan and quickly retrieved a new set of divorce agreements I had stored in the cabinet.
To avoid Alan rejecting the terms, I had my lawyer draft several versions, each with different conditions.
"Alan, I hope we can end this marriage amicably! I won’t hold you back from finding your true love, and you shouldn’t keep me trapped in this marriage, draining myself."
"These are all the possible solutions I’ve thought through seriously. They range from me not asking for a single penny to me taking 9% of the company’s shares."
"Whichever one you choose, I will accept!"
Alan looked at the stack of divorce agreements in my hand, his smile turning sinister. "Not asking for a penny? It seems you really can't wait to leave me, can you?"
His smile twisted his lips upwards at the corners, and in the dim room with no curtains drawn or lights on, it appeared rather eerie.
