Chapter 112: A Chance Encounter
Burton’s face immediately darkened, and his hands, which had been shielding Barlow, awkwardly dropped. He shot a complicated glance at Barlow.
Barlow looked at Burton in disbelief. “Are you seriously going to just stand there and watch me get bullied?”
Burton sighed. “Brother, it’s not that I don’t want to help you, but you really crossed the line this time!”
“But I believe that with Miss Susan’s generous heart, she won’t actually kill you, right?” Burton hesitantly looked at Susan, cautiously asking.
Susan snorted, then turned to Lucy and me. “I’m stepping out to take care of some personal business. It might get a bit violent, so you two just wait here.”
With that, Susan tightened her grip on Barlow’s ear, causing him to yelp in pain, crying and cursing as she dragged him out.
Once Susan and Barlow were gone, I still felt a bit uneasy, so I texted Susan, asking her not to do anything too drastic.
She replied with a message saying she knew her limits.
