Chapter 106: God is Fair
Especially when the warm sunlight gently streams into the classroom, everything feels particularly cozy.
But Alan doesn’t like me staring at him all the time, so he usually packs up his things and leaves after a short while.
So, I never get enough of looking at him.
The memory of the beautiful boy from my past and the man in front of me start to blend together slowly.
Alan is clumsily handling the flour, his brows furrowed so tightly that they could crush a bug.
He looks like he’s faced with an unsolvable math problem.
Finally, the stubborn metal pan slips from Alan’s hands, making an awkward noise.
Alan’s hands stop mid-air, embarrassed.
Sensing that I’m watching his awkwardness, Alan tries to salvage his dignity by brushing his hair back—only to smear flour all over his forehead.
I couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing. Alan glared at me in frustration, a hint of grievance in his eyes.
Trying to be considerate, I pressed my lips together to stifle my laughter.
