Chapter 20: Unexpected Encounters

　　As John arrived at Sally's office, he greeted her with a warm smile. "Hey, Sally! I thought I'd swing by and see if you wanted a ride home," he said. 　　Sally returned the smile, appreciating the kind gesture. "That would be great, thank you," she replied, gathering her things to leave the office. 　　As they walked to John's car, they chatted about their day and upcoming plans. "So, how about dinner on Friday?" John asked, looking at Sally with a hopeful expression. 　　Sally hesitated for a moment, knowing that she already had plans with Melisa and her husband. She didn't want to disappoint John, but an idea occurred to her. "Actually, I have dinner plans with my client Melisa and her husband on Friday," she said. "Would you like to join us?" 　　John looked pleasantly surprised by the suggestion. "Really? You wouldn't mind?" he asked. 　　"Of course not!
