A whole day had gone by and with nothing substantial to show for it, Ivory decided a break was definitely in order. So, putting her work and the crazy scheme of finding who had framed her aside, she decided to pay a visit to the hospital. After all, her father was still unconscious and if anything happened, she would need to know, right? Right. Arriving at the hospital, she walked in and was quickly guided towards the ICU where her father was currently placed. “Doctor has been monitoring him for a while now, Ms. Remington,” the nurse explained as they reached the ward. “I hope you’ll get better news.” “Me too,” Ivory muttered and the nurse excused herself. Stepping into the ward, Ivory approached her father’s bed and sat down on the chair beside him. As she looked at his pale, unconscious face, a sigh escaped her lips. “When are you going to wake up?” She muttered. “Do you think staying this way would save you from the consequences of your actions?” She shook her head. “I’m afraid not.
