Everything was going slow and yet, all Ivory could focus on was the sight of the metal pipes, falling at a speed she couldn’t keep up with, directly above Gadreel. She could see everything clearly, the shock in his eyes as he slowly turned his head around, the way his feet were already moving, wanting to avoid the accident, but his movements were slow, too slow.
