However, as soon as that feeling crossed her mind, she dismissed it. Everyone has their own share of stories, and although hers wasn’t pleasant, she could handle it and move on, rather than comparing it with others and wishing things were different.
“Ah, you can drop me off here, Ivy,” Emma spoke, interrupting Ivory’s train of thoughts.
They had reached the front of the house.
“Are you sure, I can just-“
“No need,” Emma said, shaking her head. “I’ll walk. My place is close by.”
Ivory nodded.
“Thanks, for tonight.” She said and Emma smiled.
“Anytime.”
They hugged, then Emma stepped out. Ivory waved her goodbye and once she was out of sight, the driver asked.
“Where to Miss?”
Ivory hesitated. She wanted at this very moment to come down and go with Emma or find a suitable hotel around to rent, but couldn’t as she had promised Gabriella that she’d be spending the night and accompany her for breakfast the following day.
