With the documents for the surgery signed and the date agreed upon, Ivory stepped out of the hospital, but was surprised to see Gadreel waiting for her. “Where’s Evangeline?” The words came out of her mouth before she could even stop herself. “And why are you here?” “Have you settled things with the hospital?” Gadreel answered her question, with one of his own, making Ivory frown, but she chose not to take it up with him. “Yes,” She answered, pulling out her phone and confirming that it was just before Noon. God, she had about an hour before that timeline and honestly, she didn’t want to stick around and find out if Lucien would indeed come find her. Speaking of Lucien, an idea popped into her head. “Gadreel,” He was surprised to hear her call out to him. “What is it?” He asked despite it, watching as she hesitated for a few seconds, before going forward. “I need a favor from you.” Well, that was unexpected. But pleasantly so, because this meant the gap between them was slowly closing.
