Chapter 110
The better half of her night was peaceful, but soon, the nightmares began.
Like a reoccurring theme, Ivory found herself back at her foster home, enduring disgusting looks from a man she was meant to call her foster father and his hands which always seemed to find it’s way towards her.
She felt disgusted, but amongst all, afraid, after all, she was only but a child, fifteen years old at that time, with no one to turn to.
Like a haunting memory, it repeated, over and over again and every single time, she woke up feeling like her world was caving in.
But this time, it was different.
Unlike all the other times, where the darkness would greet her, a pair of arms had pulled her in and a hand was running through her hair, whispering words that sounded oddly familiar.
“Don’t worry, you’re safe.”
Those words were enough to end her nightmare and her dreams soon returned to being pleasant.
