Chapter 183
Emily's POV :
Paul left in the middle of the night. I did not ask him where he went and continued to sleep.
I did not have a peaceful sleep at all.
I kept having nightmares.
In the dream, I walked alone in the desert. No matter where I looked, all I could see was sand. No matter where I walked, I couldn't get out of that barren desert.
When I woke again, it was already the next day.
There was still three hours left before my plane took off.
I needed to go home to get changed, then head straight to the airport.
I went downstairs and realised that Paul was not home. So, I left a note for him. I wished him all the best and bid him goodbye.
I felt a little conflicted at the thought that I would never get a chance to see him again in the future.
I went home to wash up and pack the remainder of my things. It only took me half an hour to get ready and leave.
