The look that rested on Gabriel’s face after Doctor Bailey’s words was like that of a doll turning on its neutral expression.
It was unreadable.
“I beg your pardon?”
“Your memories,” Doctor Bailey began, now doubting what he had seen earlier on when he asked Gabriel a question that he could only have remembered if he had his memories. “They’ve come back, haven’t they?”
Gabriel smiled, but it didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Doctor Bailey, I suggest you stop making assumptions, especially ones that could potentially hurt a person’s reputation.”

“What type of person would I turn out to be if I regained my memories and didn’t inform you or Leonica? Don’t you think it’s a problem that could potentially ruin my name? Or worse, lose people close to me?” He whispered and squeezed his shoulder.
