Chapter 6
From a distance, I saw Alexander wearing a simple white shirt. His fingers were long and defined as he held a thermos box. The sunlight shone on the stray strands of hair on his forehead, and for a brief moment, it felt like we were back to our childhood.
"It smells so good."
I inhaled deeply, squinting my eyes and smiling at Alexander.
"You could smell it even before opening the lid. Still as greedy as before," he teased.
Alexander reached out as if to pat my head, but when his hand met my open eyes, he froze.
I leaned in closer, and his long fingers gently brushed through my hair, giving me a sense of calm.
I couldn’t help but sigh softly, but he immediately straightened me up. "Don't make this gesture so casually with others; people might misunderstand."
I blinked, ready to speak, when a loud werewolf growl came from behind. "What are you two doing?!"
Sure enough, when you don’t like someone, they seem to appear everywhere.
