Though I was prepared for this sort of question, I was a little thrown off guard.
I had expected her to ask when we were in the lobby, however, when she hadn't made any comments about it, I thought I was in the clear.
“Hm?” She asked again, and it was only now I got out of my revire.
“Um. I just do things. I am a handyman, and I alternate between jobs. I am a part timer, and I do a bit of things.”
“A part-timer.” She repeated, her index finger running over her lips. “You definitely didn't hit me as one.”
“Sorry?” I asked, unsure of what she was driving at. “I didn't hit her as one?
“Yes. You didn't hit me as one. The first time we met, not only did you drive in a flashy car, but you also took us to a beautifully furnished home.”
